(The blur at the bottom left side is his hand. As I was taking the picture he reached for the camera and said, "Take picture Ty's fingers")
Just a few minutes ago I was getting him ready for a nap, taking him potty etc. After that I went to get him a drink and when I turned around he wasn't with me. So I went looking for him. He had already taken himself to bed. He is such a good boy.
Earlier today after I brushed mine and his teeth, I handed him his toothbrush so he could brush his teeth. I do that so that when I brush them it gets done right, and then he can practice so someday I won't have to do his also. So anyways I went to check on Kimber and left him to brush his teeth. When I came back, he was up on the sink. I asked him what he was doing and he said "Puttin' way my toof brush". I told him it was very good he wanted to put things where they belong, but please don't climb up there. I got him down and went to get dressed. Kimber started fussing and Tyrel asked "Where's Kimmer?" I told him in the living room and he took off up the hall going "What's wrong Kimmer? What's wrong?"
(I forgot to take a picture until after I had wiped it off her face and most of her hair with a baby wipe.)
I continued to get dressed and after a minute I realised Kimber was not fussing and Tyrel was being very quiet. So I went to check on them. As I got close, but with the couch still between us, so I could only see Tyrel's face I asked him what he was doing. "Brushing Kimmer's hair." As I came around the couch I saw that putting away his toothbrush was not all he had been doing up on the bathroom sink. He had also gotten my lisene ointment. It is kind of like chapstick, but with a patroleum jelly texture. He was rubbing it all over Kimber's head and half of her face. They both seemed to be enjoying themselves immensely.
(While working with Daddy)
He is such a little parrot. He will repeat anything he hears. We do not cuss, but we do say things that I am trying to stop now, as I never really paid attention to how it sounded until I heard it coming out of a 2 year olds mouth.
He is always asking people "What are you doing?"
If anyone asks him what he is doing he says "fine". It is so funny. He hasn't quite differintiated between How are you doing, and What are you doing.
Or if someone asks him how old he is, his reply is "Tyrel Jones". I have to remind him that they asked for his age, not his name. And he is quick to tell anyone Kimber is 2 months old when they ask, even before I can lots of times.
He will randomly ask me if he can call people, and if I don't think they will be too busy at the time, I usually will let him. He can be quite the talker on the phone. He sure doesn't get that from me. I can talk to my Mom or Stephen for more than 1 minute on the phone, but they are about the only ones. I just can't ever think of things to say. I much prefer to converse in person.
He will also randomly spout out things like I wuf (love) Daddy....or James, or "Umpa"(Grumpa), or 'nola (Granola..Grandmother Nola) or Jake, or just about any other person we know.
Ready for paintball
Sitting with "Umpa" at my cousin's wedding.
He is quite observant. When we turn right off of the county road, he knows we are probably going to get produce. Or if we turn right in the little town near us on the way to town, he knows we are probably going to "Joy's House." I am not sure why it is Joy's house since Joy is only one of 12 people that live there, but he calls it Joy's house.
Tyrel's picture of the wedding. He asked if he could take a picture, so I showed him what button to push, and this is it. A wedding from a two year old's perspective.
He like to say "Oh Thanks!" with such joy and gusto when you give him something, or even occasionally when I take something from him.
Still working with Daddy
He is my right hand man. It is so nice to see training paying off at such a young age. He can go and get things for me, put things in the trash, sort of rinse the dishes, help wipe the table, put his dishes in the sink, put clothes in the laundry, help put laundry away, help gather firewood, and all with a joyful attitude. I know there is more he can do, but those are the specifics coming to mind. We are still and will be for some time I am sure, working on having a good attitude, not whining, not excessively crying over things that don't need cried over in the first place. I know sometimes you just have to cry. So I tell him to go lay on his bed to cry (unless he is really hurt or something, then I'll hold him) and if it is nothing, he can stop absolutely instantly, or if he needs to cry it out he will go cry on his bed. We are still working on two year olds not being the boss of the family and such fun stuff as that. But over all, he is a very good, very sweet wee lad.

Cute boy. “Out of the mouth of babes comes things parents never should have said.” :)
