Sorry, Inside joke on the Ump.
Anyways, these are some cute pictures that Stephen took of Ty this morning.

And one I took of his little chipmunk cheeks full of raisins yesterday.

13 Months

Tyrel is 13 months young now. He learns new things every day.

He loves to climb on things. Thankfully he hasn't learned to climb high yet. Footstools and boxes are good enough......for now.

He has a small vocabulary, but it grows all the time.

He says "Mama, Uh Oh, Ow, and Moo's" a lot. He moo's at cows, goats, chickens, dogs, Mama...anything.

He like to bang his head on the floor, then looks at me and says "Ow". Goofy boy.

He is such a "crackter". (Character)

I have finally started using cloth diapers full time....unless we will be gone from home over night, then we get some store ones to use. Nothing fancy, just prefold diapers, and diaper pins, and rubber pants.

I try to put him on the potty if he hasn't gone in a while, so he will get used to going on the potty.

The other day, after all night, he was dry, so I rushed him to the potty, set him on it and waited....nothing, so I set him down and went to get his diaper to put on him...and he promptly began to pee on the rug in the bathroom. Little stink bug.

I love how he is so happy to see me and rushes in if I have been out of the room for a few minutes. It makes me feel loved.

He loves playing in the little red car at his Granola's house, he climbs right over the door into it. He likes to prop his feet on the steering wheel and just sit there.

His little feet just pitter patter all over the place...so sweet. He is always on the go, rarely with a moment to snuggle anymore, so I cherish his nursing times...which seem to be slowly dwindling down, mostly just at nap and bed times.

He kisses my chin a lot too, but if I am not careful it turns into a bite.

He likes to help daddy with lots of things too. He follows him around getting into things when he is home. He also enjoys helping with chores, he will come sweep my pile of dirt I've swept up, back all over the floor.

Ty, and his friend Stella.

So anywho, that is what my little man is doing by now.

Yay Me!

I finally got around to sewing the apron I cut out a few months ago. For once I followed the directions on the pattern and was much more pleased than I usually am when I sew and ignore the pattern. So what do you think? The material looks funny in the picture. It is green gingham.

It slips over my head easily so instead of worrying with button holes, I just sewed the top.

So Smart

Babies...er excuse me TODDLERS (:( my baby is growing up) are so smart. They understand things that I think they aren't going to.

Tyrel was just over in the kitchen trying to get him an apple. His Granola told him to go ask his Mama if he could have one. He immediately left the apples, turned and came to me saying "Mama, Mama". ....He got an apple. That was SO smart of him.

Enjoying his reward for obedience.

Starting a Tradition

I read an article in a magazine a long time ago, where a lady dressed her baby girl in a swimsuit every birthday and took her picture until it fit her. I liked the idea, other than it being a swimsuit. For my baby boy I decided to use his daddy's cowboy boots. Not his work ones, but his nicer pair that might last til Tyrel is grown. So here are my pictures of Ty with his Daddy's boots, at one year old...Maybe next year he can WEAR them. lol. So let me know which one you like best, I will get a print of it, and frame it til next year when we do this again. I never did get one of him actually LOOKING. Oh well, they are cute anyways.

Pictures from our trip.

Weekend Trip

One of my best friends from way back when got married this weekend. It was one of only two weddings I have ever been to that I wasn't IN. Alas, I did not take any pictures at the wedding, but I will borrow some from my SIL when she is done with them to put on here. (She was the wedding photographer).
I do have other pictures from the trip.
We were going to camp out in the Wichita Mountains on Thursday night, but we got stormed on, so we went to my brother Bill's house instead. I am glad we did, because I thought he was going to be at the wedding, and he wasn't, we wouldn't have seen him this trip if we hadn't been stormed on.
Stephen needs to learn the fine art of driving through the refuge. I have NEVER been through it so fast...he went the SPEED LIMIT. Daddy never went so fast, we might have missed seeing some critter. Also, when I pointed out some elk or buffalo or any other critter, he would say "Yep" and keep on driving. Goodness, you always stop and admire the animals. He said "I've seen elk, buffalo, etc.. before" I have too, lots more than he has, because we used to practically live out there, but still, you stop and admire. I don't really mind, I just have to give him a hard time about it.
Friday morning when we left Bill and Glynna's house, we went to our friends' house out by where I grew up. Only Johnny was there, but still it was great to see him. We visited for awhile, and then he treated us to some chinese food in Marlow. We went on up to the wedding later in the afternoon.
We got there early so I could help Seneca. I was going to help take pictures, but I left my camera battery charging at home. So then I was handed a digital camcorder that I didn't know how to use, but thought I could figure it out. So when the wedding started I was up on the stage? altar? I don't know, up at the front hiding behind a bush to record the wedding, but not be in the way.
I started recording when they started leading grandparents in...right before the wedding party. By the third grandparent, the camera said Memory Full. I couldn't figure out what to do from there, so I sat and enjoyed the wedding...as much as I could while getting looks from people that said "why aren't you recording?".. Sorry Kasie.
We snuck out about 9 so we could get Ty to sleep.
Stephen went ahead and drove all the way to DFW that night, and at about 1 AM we got a hotel room. Ty and I were up at 7 with Tommy soon following, we went wandering around the hotel, letting Stephen sleep in a little.
When Stephen got up we called my friend Kyla and met up with her and her boyfriend Wes, at Cabela's. We spent a good bit of the day there, then went back to their house so Ty could nap...which he FINALLY did..waaay late. When he got up we went to Chris and Seneca's house til Chris went to work, I saw Uncle Ricky for a few minutes when he stopped by to drop something off. We went back to Kyla's and stayed the night, leaving Tommy at Chris' until sometime later this week. We got back home around 11 today, made lunch and waited for family to get home from church.
So anywho that was our weekend. I will post pictures on a separate blog.

A New Sister

I have a new sister. Well sister in law. My in laws just adopted a new daughter. That gives them 3 boys and 3 girls, counting bios and adopted chillins. We are adjusting to having a new person in the house.
I like her a lot, she is a very sweet girl...well young lady at 16. It will take time for her to adjust to us and vice versa I know. We "helped" her go through her bags and bags of clothes today. She has a lot of ...well less than modest clothing, so we are going to have to work on that.
We are praying that we won't have to send her to public school until the adoption is final, as that will not help having peer pressure while we are trying to work on her modesty.
Anyways, I don't really know anything else yet, just thought I would post about that.

Movie

There is a movie being made in the town we always shop in. It is being made in the same way that Facing the Giants was made. I tried out for one of the somewhat main parts, but I just got an email saying that I was not picked...oh well. That is kind of a blessing, as that would have been a major time commitment. Still I think it would have been fun. I will see if they still need help with anything.

Pretty Hairs

I have been practicing doing different kinds of braids on my SIL's hair. I am finally getting somewhat good...If I could only do this with my own hair.

Of course having a pretty model helps!

Millions of Peaches, Peaches for Me

Today I helped my mother in law can peaches at her house. It was fun. I will show you how we did it. Yay for pictures. We were going to get together with some friend later next week to do this, but the peaches were ready NOW. If we waited til next week, even Monday, they would have been yucky.
