Turning 2.

December 29th was my cute little nephew, K's birthday.
Isn't that cake adorable?!?! A friend (and somehow related, I don't remember exactly how) of my SIL made the cake.
K got all kinds of cool boy like toys, such as dump trucks, trash trucks, truck trucks, ....and his favorite. A kitchen with all the accessories. This boy LOVES to cook. We made the mistake of letting him open presents before we had cake. He was no longer interested in cake once he saw that kitchen. His reaction to getting it was so sweet.
But to get the show to go on, we placed his beloved kitchen on the table next to the cake.
He didn't want to blow out the candle, so his Daddy helped him put it out with his spatula. :)
Happy Birthday K! I Love you!

My Hoss

This is Riata. My horse. The End.
She is wearing the most uncomfortable saddle I have ever had my hiney sit upon. Stephen likes it though. And he can keep it. :)
I would much rather ride her like this.
The End. Again.

Gophers

We seem to have gophers in our yard now. They really aren't that bad. Kinda cute even.

Needs a Caption

I would say that it could be a caption contest, but I don't really have anything to give away that anyone would want. So just let me know what this picture says to you. :)

Jezre-el's Daughter.

When I was younger I was weird...still am so that doesn't work I used to dress up as different 'characters' just for the fun of it. Then I would go around the house with goofy clothes on and playing the part of these said characters. I called them my 'cousins'. You know, because they looked kinda like me, but they weren't.
There was my hillbilly cousin EmmyLou. My gangster cousin...I don't remember the name of....
and others. One of them was a gypsy. Her name was Jezre-el.  My mom has pictures of some of these cousins but I don't, or maybe you could see them. Anyways I have a picture of what Jesre-el's daughter must look like.

I think I'll call her Izabel. :)

Cramming the rest of the vacation into one unorganized post

Kimber sure likes Cowgranny's chicken spaghetti!

It was cooold in Arkansas.
When we left Arkansas, we went to my brother Ben's place, out near where we grew up. The top thing on our list of things to do was go hiking in the Wichita Mountains. When I was about 6 or 7 to about 9 we lived in Medicine Park, Oklahoma, which borders the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge. I love that place.
Mount Scott
From almost everywhere I ever lived in Oklahoma, you could see Mount Scott, with its flat top that you can drive to the top of.
The view from on top of Mount Scott.
We also went to see Bill and his wife and my niece Nickole who live near Ben.
Nickole
On my birthday we ate at the Old Plantation in Medicine Park. It was only the second time I have ever had food there, and we used to live about a mile away. Good Stuff.
My birthday!

Ben

Wearing Uncle Ben's hat.

Then we went hiking to the Valley of the Boulders. I didn't get to actually go boulder hopping, as that is not something safe to do with a 1 year old strapped to your back, and with some of the boulders having drop offs that are higher than the roof of my house, onto other boulders, we didn't let Ty go boulder hopping either. But the hike was fun.

Running to catch up with the big boys

Sam and Ben.
So, yeah, then we came on home, and I still have Sam and Daniel here visiting me!
