The "T"'s in the Family

It was really hard getting a picture of Tyrel today. He normally is a real ham for the camera, but not today.

Just Rambling

Today is the first day that I have spent alone with my 2 kiddos. Stephen is headed out to Utah tonight, and my MIL and her younger chillins are in town today. It has gone good. I have been over here at my MIL's house most of the day. Not sure why, I just didn't want to be at home. It is weird, because even though I've been over here a lot lately, I've really just felt like being home until today.
Tommy should be home from work in a little bit. I suppose I should get some supper made. I am hoping that he won't mind making a trade with me. He hates doing laundry, and I don't care for washing dishes. So I did his laundry yesterday, and hope he'll wash dishes for me. :) If not, that is okay, I feel kinda guilty wanting him to, when he has worked all day.

Kimber and I had a diaper disaster yesterday. I'll spare you the gory details, just know is was pretty nasty. A poopy sling, skirt, 2 diapers, several paper towels, wipes and boppy pillow later.

The other day someone was suggesting/joking-ish that Stephen should run for county something or other...I don't remember what office they suggested. Stephen said he has thought of running for some kind of local office, but he would feel kinda hypocritical. "I'm for smaller government, Vote for me!" He also says he might be good at spouting his political convictions to me, but doesn't think he'd be able to in front of other people.

Tyrel is SO affectionate towards Kimber I have to run him off sometimes. He practically smothers her with kisses, hugs, pats, holding her hand, etc...
Earlier he wanted to hold her in his lap...again... so I set her in his lap (still holding on to her of course) and after a minute I started to take her back and he wrapped his arms around her a little tighter and said "Noooo, miiiiiiiiine!"
I had been somewhat worried about jealousy before she was born, but that hasn't been an issue at all.

We will hopefully be going to Arkansas to see my family for Thanksgiving this year. Most of my siblings should be there, plus some of my grandparents and a niece and nephew also. I hope we get to stay a couple days, but that will depend on loads for the trucking company. Business used to slow down about Thanksgiving and then a little before New Years, but that wasn't the case last year, and may not be this year. I understand if we can't stay long though, because when you work for yourself, if you don't work, you don't make money. Stephen has been purposely not going with me to visit family for over a year now, so he can take time off to take some classes eventually. He is wanting to start his own business on the side sometime. Unless they can find some uhhh, better, drivers than they have now, then it might be awhile before that can happen either though.

Anyways, I guess I was just feeling rambly. I don't think I even posted anything I had originally thought of, but this is where my train of thought led today.

Pretty Girl

I can hardly believe that nearly a week has gone by!
Hmm, some sweet and cute things I want to remember....
Since we didn't know she was going to be a girl, we didn't have any girl clothes. We had some "neutral" clothes from when Tyrel was born, as we didn't know his gender ahead of time either.
Anyways, When Kimber was 2 days old, Stephen had to go to town for work. I asked him to bring me some nursing pads home. When he got here, he had bought her some pink clothes also. I thought that was so sweet of him. He wanted his little girl to look like a girl.
Tyrel is smitten with her. He always wants to hold her, or pat her if someone else is holding her. The first time he saw her nursing, I told him she was eating, and he asked "Tyrel have bite?" Um, no. He has only been weaned for 7 months, but I don't think he really remembers nursing.
The next time I was feeding her, he pulled his shirt up and asked " I feed?" Sorry sweetie, only Mommy's can feed the baby.
Well those are the only things coming to mind. Here are some pictures.

Better pictures

Uncle Tommy was singing "The Green Barrett" to the tune of the Green Beret's while she was wearing this.

Uncle Bill and Kimber...and part of Aunt Glynna
We are all doing great. Kimber nurses like a champ. Tyrel is a big helper. And it is amazing to see the difference in Stephen between how well he handles a baby than when Tyrel was a newborn. He's broke in now and kinda knows what to do, and that he won't break her. It is really sweet to watch him with her.

she is here!

I won't write much, as I am happily typing one handed!
Kimber Ann was born on my Mom's birthday (barely). She was born at 11:48 pm, on October 20, 2009. She weighs 7 lbs. 1/2 oz.

Oh yes, Stephen missed the birth! He had a load and when he left I wasn't in labor yet.

I woke up from a nap at 2:50pm having contractions every 2 minutes. Called my midwife at 3:30, and she started heading this way. She lives an hour and 45 minutes away. When she got there (5:30 ish?) I was dilated to a 3. By 9:30 I was a 5. She was born at 11:48. Needless to say, it went very fast. Stephen got home about 4:30 am. I had called him right after the birth, so he wasn't surprised :) .
Tyrel LOVES his little sister!

On my due date...I'd like to introduce our new baby...

unfortunately, unless the baby kicks it in gear thats not going to happen. So far not even a contraction today. We are going to go to the zoo in Abilene with my mom today. We will stop and see my midwife while we are there.
So anyways, just letting everyone know that we still have a baby in the oven, and my mom is here visiting. So that is a lot of the reason I have not been posting.
I don't really have anything else to post about.

Camera

Well, I got my new battery in the mail yesterday. I rushed right in and got it on to charge. When it was finally finished I got all ready to take a zillion pictures. Only to find out the problem I was having (My camera turning itself on and off over and over and over and over) was worse. Apparently it isn't caused by the battery being almost dead, as I had thought. Sooo, I am not sure what I am going to do. I guess I better go dig out my old camera. It is a good camera, but once you are used to a better one, the old just seems so....old, not good enough, something. It is better than not having a camera though, and I thought it was the greatest thing ever when my MIL got it for me a few years ago, so it can't be all bad, right?
Well I did manage to get the camera to stay on long enough to download the three pictures that were already on it. I didn't get any new ones taken. But you can see the three I downloaded.
I am now 38 weeks prego! My next midwife appointment is on the 4th (Grandma Rose's Happy Birthday) if I have not had the baby by then!
I am doing my best to make it happen tonight. Well, not taking anything, but circumstance-wise. I mean, going varmint hunting 40+ miles from town, and much farther from home, with 4 guys all teenagers except Stephen, waaaay out in the middle of a huge ranch. That ought to be a prime time to go into labor, right? Jake (one of the guys going) says I'm not allowed to go into labor in his pickup. So that's an even better reason for it to happen.
