So yeah.
I mentioned in my previous post that I was gone to Oklahoma. Yes, to nearly the very place I consider "home". My brother Bill and his wife live in one of the towns very near where we grew up in southwest Oklahoma.
I do believe that is the only time I have ever gone to specifically visit him other than for his wedding. We stop to see him on our way to visit my parents in Arkansas occasionally.
Anywho, on this visit, Tommy, Tyrel and I went up to help them get ready for a baby. They just found out that they were going to get a baby about 2 weeks or so ago...It is due any day now.
How is that possible? Well they are adopting of course. My cousin is pregnant and feels that she won't be able to give the baby a good life, so is putting it up for adoption. If Bill and Glynna had not wanted it so desperately (they don't have any children) then Stephen and I were considering adopting, so as to keep it in the family.
So we had lots of stuff to get done in such a short time. I can hardly wait for her/him to get here. I think it will be a girl, but they don't know.
Anywho, that's where I have been.

So, about my cannas and irises....?
yes well...about that. I kinda...forgot. I wish I hadn't as I really wanted to get to see our old place up close, but after we got off the phone the thought never entered my head again til we were at Grandma Rose's.
Hey girl, how did you get the task of taking behind the scenes photos?
And whatever happened with the skinning and tanning project?
at least I thot U wuz gonna tan somethin' Unc Tic
I volunteered to do it. lol. I have not heard from them in a while though, so maybe they don't want me anymore.
Oh and yes, the hides are cleaned, fleshed, or would that be de-fleshed, and are in the tanning solution right now.
Well you should know that I'll want to hear about the final tanning results!
Next, you will need "leather" sewing needles, to make it easier to stitch the hides together.
