I have been babysitting today. It was kind of like having twins.
The little girl I was babysitting is about a month older than Tyrel I think. They played together really well, and I got a lot done today. They even fell asleep within 5 minutes of each other for both naps, it was nice.
They really had fun chasing one another around the "island" in the kitchen.
Ty wanted me to pick him up now and then so he would know I still loved him, and wasn't trading him for this cute little girl. It really was very sweet to watch them play.
In other news, I have a skirt that I was going to cut the top off of and put in elastic, so it will fit better, but instead I cut the bottoms off of a pair of overall shorts someone gave me, and will sew the skirt on to it...I hope. I will post pictures when I am done with it.
I have a bunch of pictures to upload, but I don't feel like it right now. I wanna go out on the porch and watch Tyrel play.

Home Again Home Again, Jiggity Jig
I have been in Arkansas visiting my family for the past week and a half.
It was the first time my mom and dad had got to see Tyrel since he has started walking.
CowGranny got him some cowboy boots that he adores. If I take them off of him, he will stand there trying to force them on his feet by standing on them...it is funny to watch.
I like getting to visit my family, but it is more fun when Stephen comes too, because then I am not homesick at the same time. He did not get to come this time, but at least Tommy was here to help him work.
We didn't "do" a whole lot while I was there, mostly just visited, but that is fun.
We did go to Natural Falls State Park one day.
Well I don't have my camera with me at this moment, so I won't be putting any pictures up right now. I didn't get many anyways.
Wow, this post was rather boring and vague.

Bloggity Blog Blog
Everyone seems to be getting a blog. It is with great pleasure that I introduce my sweet husband's blog to you.
http://sgj3030.blogspot.com/
Yes, I am as shocked as you. I didn't think he would ever want to get one, but I will enjoy reading it. His will mostly be reviews on weaponry, or maybe about politics, and mine will continue to be about family.
I Love you Sweetiepea.

Pictures and Happenings
Today was the city wide garage sale in a nearby town. Of course we went, Stephen and I were both raised on garage sales. :D We got a whole new set of Louis L'Amour books, a lot of ours get read to death, so having copies is nice. Tommy bought a new gun, and Stephen got a lot of tools, and I just got some odds and ends, like a little shelf to put in the corner in our bedroom.
Tyrel's Granola got him a cute little rocking horse and a little chair that goes together kind of like puzzle pieces. He has been going back and forth between them playing ever since we got home.
Not much else going on around here right now I suppose. I was going to go visit my parents this weekend and next week, but with the Hurricane Ike heading their way I don't think I will be flying up there for at least several more days.

Camping...sort of.
Well we went "camping" this past weekend with my in laws and two other family from the Texas Above Rubies. I say "camping" as opposed to camping, because we weren't really roughing it.
It was extremely fun though. We went on a huge zip line where you get going up to 30 miles per hour. We jumped off an about 15 foot high dock onto the "blob" that threw the person on the end way in the air, then crawled to the end to be thrown.
We played volleyball, tennis, basketball, tether ball, horseshoes, went swimming, played shuffleboard, air hockey, pool, foosball, and other fun stuff. I think the most fun was rappelling 80 ft. down a cliff. I am scared of heights, but love the adrenaline rush of doing things like that.
Nola watched Ty for us while we did many of these things. Anywho, I will put some pictures later.

Feeling Emotional
Not sure why. I was just at a friend's blog and the song Remember When started playing. I had to quick click off of it, or I would have started crying. Not for any particular reason. Just homesick I guess. I miss my family. I miss our home in Marlow. I miss getting to be with my brothers all the time. Not that I would trade Stephen and Tyrel for anything, I am just homesick like I said. It happens now and then.
In other news, we are going camping this weekend with the Texas Above Rubies group. That should be fun! I have been packing this morning and will probably ride down there with the in laws, and Stephen and Tommy will meet us tonight. Stephen got a call after we were asleep last night for him to go to Del Rio. So I will try to have camp set up for them by the time they get there.
Anyways, I guess that is all I have to say for now.

CPR
Woo, I am certified in CPR now! A lady came out and taught us CPR tonight. We had to show her on the "Annie" dolls that we had paid attention. Then Tyrel had to show us how it was done, he was so smart. I had to take pictures. Before he climbed on top of it, he did push on its chest and mess with it's face, kinda like we had done...but he must have figured this was more effective. Oh and the last picture is just from the other day and is cute.

Hunting
Wow, the weather is absolutely delicious today. Cloudy, slight breeze, about 70 degrees. I love the fall.
Anyways, I went out dove hunting today without Stephen, because he and Tommy are at work. It is perfect weather for dove hunting, and he would have been disappointed in me if I had not gone. I left Tyrel with his Granola (Grandmother Nola if I have never explained that before) because I can't carry a toddler, cover his ears and shoot all at once.
I love love LOVE to hunt. That is one of the reasons my husband fell in love with me. I enjoy being outdoors, but you never quite experience the outdoors like when hunting. Just taking it slow, meandering through the fields. Here is West Texas you have to take it slow while dove hunting, so you can watch the sky for dove, and watch the ground for snakes at the same time. Stephen has almost stepped on a rattler while dove hunting before.
I always think of my Daddy while hunting. I can just see him having to work or sit at home not hunting, because he doesn't have anywhere to hunt where my family lives now. I wish he could be out there with me, telling me good job when I get one or something.
Anyways, I missed my first 4 shots today, but got one with my 5th. The dove just aren't flying here much the last few days.
I took him home and cleaned him, and put him in the freezer. Maybe we will have enough for a meal soon. My husband cooks dove wonderfully. I don't know if I can, because he likes doing it so much I have never had a chance to cook any.
